I'm 6'7 and 280lbs, will I fit?

We've designed our ice tub to accommodate individuals of all sizes, up to 6'8'' in height. While the tub itself has no weight limits, please keep in mind that water displacement will affect the amount of ice or water that can be added.

What temperature should my ice bath be?

The temperature of an ice bath can vary depending on personal preference, the purpose for which it is being used and the amount of cold water exposure a person has experienced.

For beginners, we suggest keeping your ice baths between 60-59°F (15.5-15°C). Taking plunges for no longer than 3 minutes.

At an intermediate level, cold plunges should be maintained at around 50°F (10°C). Experiment with timings, always attempting longer than 90 seconds per session. Consistently strive for longer timings or colder plunges. Continuous improvement should always be the focus.

At an expert level, introduce an Ice-to-Water Ratio of one part ice to two parts water. This ratio can be adjusted based on availability of ice. Begin exploring temperatures below 50°F. Ideal for athletes searching for optimal recovery.

Remember everyone's tolerance to cold varies, so it's important to gradually acclimatise your body to the cold water and pay attention to any adverse reactions.

Avoid dipping below the neck during plunges. There are no scientific benefits associated with exposing the head to cold water.

What's the best way to refill my NordicWay™ ice bath?

Our ice baths are super simple to refill. Simply use a hose, shower, bucket or container and fill to around the 65-70% mark.

Once filled, simply begin your plunge in cool water.

When you feel prepared, you can begin adding store-bought ice to your ice baths for the full intended effect.

Our triple-layered ice insulation shell helps maintain ice cold temperatures for a sustained period.
